In this workshop, Rafie will walk through with you the Estate Planning instruments in Malaysia, what are the available tools used to advice clients on Estate Planning and Business Succession Planning. Rafie will share with you his working experiences the trustee companies on how he gives professional advice and to assist them to set up their Estate, Trust as well as Business Succession Planning.
Learning Outcome
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Identify understanding of practical issues in inheritance, estate administration and estate planning processes which are generally misunderstood;
- Apply the various tools for Estate Planning, especially Wills/ Wasiat and Trust/ Amanah and Life Insurance/ Takaful;
- Evaluate the effect of the new Financial Service Act (FSA) 2013 [Act 758] and the Islamic Financial Services Act (“IFSA”) 2013 [Act 759] as well as the Companies Act 2016 [Act 777], on contemporary estate planning.
