INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE INVESTSMART ROADSHOW SERIES: STOCK MARKET AND UNIT TRUST SEMINAR FOR RETAIL INVESTORS

The Securities Industry Development Corporation (SIDC) is the training and development arm of the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and the leading capital markets education, training and information resource provider in ASEAN.

For your information, the SC recently launched the InvestSmart initiative on June 19, 2014. It is an initiative to empower investors and make them capable of making intelligent and informed investment decisions. For retail investors, the “InvestSmart Roadshow Series” is one of the programmes under this initiative. This seminar aims to develop interest and increase investor sophistication in stock market and unit trust investing.

By the end of this seminar, participants will be able to identify the fundamentals of investing such as:

• state the current market concerns and things to consider before investing in unit trust
• indicate which investment product is best to meet their risks profiles
• discuss various unit trust investment strategies to meet financial goals
• define unit trust framework and compare different type of funds

For your information, this seminar is FREE and refreshments will be provided. This seminar will be conducted in English and is targeted at potential and existing unit trust/ PRS/ stock market investors. The participants will also receive a certificate of participation and a souvenir.
