The International Conference on Social Protection scheduled to take place from 10th – 11th October 2017 in Kuala Lumpur, is based on the theme “Migration, Development and Social Welfare: Implications and New Insights”. The Conference is organized by the Social Security Research Centre (SSRC), Faculty of Economics and Administration, University of Malaya.
We would like to invite all researchers, policy-makers, administrators, staff, students and other members of the international social security community to come together and discuss on how social security can adapt to emerging challenges.
Papers are welcome on the following themes (details attached):

Theme 2: Rural-Urban Migration
Theme 3: Labour Market and Irregular/Illegal Migration
Theme 4: Social Justice and Human Rights

The Social Security Research Centre (SSRC) was established in March 2011 at the Faculty of Economics and Administration (FEA), University of Malaya to initiate and carry out research, teaching and dissemination of evidence-based knowledge in the area of social security, including old age financial protection in order to enhance the understanding of this critical topic to promote economic development and social cohesion in Malaysia.
